Deleting your account

Last updated 10 August 2026

From inside the app

This is the quickest way and it takes effect the moment you confirm.

If you cannot sign in

Email info@alphaitsolutions.uk from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is really you, then do it within 30 days, usually the same week.

What gets deleted

Your name, your email address, your password and your kiosk PIN are removed from the database outright. Not hidden, not flagged as inactive. Gone.

What stays, and why

Bookings you made stay on record, with the link to your account cut. The organisation keeps a history saying a projector went to the main hall on a Tuesday and came back on the Thursday. It no longer knows it was you.

They paid for the software to keep exactly that history, and deleting it would take away records of equipment that belongs to them rather than to you. If you want your name removed from those entries too, ask the organisation that runs your KitDesk, since it is their record to change.

How long anything is kept

DataWhat happens
Name, email address, password, kiosk PINDeleted immediately when you confirm. Not retained
Bookings and activity historyKept by the organisation with your identity removed, for as long as they keep using KitDesk
Photos and signatures you addedKept against the item or booking they belong to, with the link to you removed
Server logs containing your IP addressDeleted automatically after about 30 days

If you want the anonymised history removed as well, ask the organisation that runs your KitDesk, since those records belong to them rather than to us.

Two things that will stop you

You still have something booked out. Bring it back, or ask an admin to book it in for you, then delete the account.

You are the only owner. Somebody has to be able to administer the site. Make someone else an owner first.
