Terms of use
Last updated 10 August 2026
KitDesk is supplied by Alpha IT Solutions Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15837037. Using it means accepting what follows.
Your account
Accounts are handed out by whoever runs your KitDesk, not by us. Keep your password and your kiosk PIN to yourself. Anything done under your login is treated as done by you, so tell an admin straight away if you think someone else has got in.
What you may not do
- Use somebody else's login, or lend yours out.
- Upload photos you have no right to upload, or anything unlawful.
- Try to reach records belonging to a site you are not a member of.
- Attack, probe or overload the service.
The equipment itself
KitDesk records bookings. It does not lend you anything and it is not a party to the arrangement between you and whoever owns the kit. Damage, loss and late returns are between you and them. So are any hire charges the software calculates, which are a convenience for the organisation and not a bill from us.
Test and service dates
The software can hold PAT and service dates and will refuse a booking once one has lapsed. That is a prompt, not a certificate. Keeping equipment safe and legally testable remains the job of the organisation that owns it, whatever the software says.
Availability
We aim to keep it running and we do not promise it never stops. Maintenance happens, and so do faults. There is no uptime guarantee unless a separate contract says otherwise.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for data loss where you held no backup of your own.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you like, from inside the app. Your organisation can close your access at any time. We may suspend an account that is breaking these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did, and anything significant is notified by email.
